Message from Mayor Randall W. Teague

As the Director Of Public Works, Parks and Property, my goal is to keep our residents well informed and up to date on the current conditions of the Township’s infrastructure. Township-owned infrastructure is all around us, and provides the essential services that maintain Haddon Township’s enviable quality of life. Much of this infrastructure passes unnoticed every day. For example, there are over 80 miles of storm, sanitary or combined sewers beneath the municipality, and almost 50 miles of roadways. These infrastructure assets are essential to the Township’s growth, economic development, citizen safety and quality of life and are among the most important attributes that make Haddon Township an attractive place to live and do business... Message from Commissioner Paul Dougherty

At a time of fiscal crisis, it is essential that local municipalities continue to strive to make their communities more affordable for businesses and families. Now, more than ever, government must work together and support one another in order to build a better, stronger future. Through the sharing of services, local municipalities can consolidate services to reduce waste and improve operations. Shared service programs are an effective cost-saving measure that helps to build sustainable, high quality services that will benefit residents and help control the rising cost of property taxes... CENSUS 2010- WE CAN’T MOVE FORWARD UNTIL YOU MAIL IT BACK!

While most citizens understand the importance of voting, they underestimate the importance of participating in our nation’s census. From my perspective as the Commissioner responsible for Revenue and Finance, I encourage all of our residents to complete their census in order for Haddon Township to receive appropriate state and federal funding. Residents are urged to promptly... To continue reading click here.

Verizon Channel 46 Debuts

Verizon logo Until now, subscribers to Verizon cable did not receive the local Public Education and Government Channel of Haddon Township (known to many as Channel 19 - Comcast). Recently, the township entered an agreement with Verizon to launch an identical channel for Verizon subscribers. After months of preparation, Channel 46 became operational in September of 2009. The content, schedule and message board will be identical to the existing Comcast channel 19. As this new cable TV channel premieres, we encourage residents to become more active in its programming. If you have ideas for programming, or the ability to film township and school events, we wish to hear from you. Common material for public access channels includes interviews, speeches, community gatherings and performances. Airtime is doled out on a content-neutral, first-come, first-served basis.
