South Jersey nature photographer Michael A. Hogan has prepared an environmental tour of Haddon Township's watersheds. Selected from among thousands of his photographs of Haddon Township, this slide show presents 101 captioned images. It can be viewed as a Macromedia Flash presentation in three resolutions: Medium (400x300 pixels), Large (600x450), and Extra Large (800x600). Which version is best for your computer will depend on the size and resolution of your screen and the speed of your connection.
Please read all of the following instructions carefully before trying
to view the presentation. Otherwise, the slideshow may not display correctly:
- Depending on the security settings and software you have on your computer, you may be asked to run an ActiveX control and/or install Macromedia Flash in order to view the slideshow. Proceed as prompted.
- When the slide show's opening screen appears, click on the arrow in the center of the screen to start the show. If it does not start immediately, you may have to click a second time.
- Because the slide show is being made available on the Web via Google's Picasa Web Album service, it has certain limitations. One is that the slides are set to change every four seconds, which is generally not enough time to read the captions and view the pictures. When the slideshow starts playing, click the "pause" icon (the two vertical bars) to place the session into manual viewing mode, and then click on the right arrow icon to move the show forward slide-by-slide.
- Another limitation is that the navigation bar containing the pause and arrow icons obscures the bottom of the slide and the caption. Note that if you position the mouse over the right arrow but don't move it, the navigation bar will fade away, but you can still click where the arrow was, to move to the next slide. (That will then make the caption appear again.)
- The final quirk is that if you click anywhere else on the image above the navigation bar, a new window will appear from the Google Picasa Web site, letting you navigate through the slideshow that way. Note however that the Flash version of the slideshow will still remain active on the Haddon Township Web page that you had been viewing.
This presentation is also available in CD format. However, availability is limited.
